Last Friday I had the chance to go the fabled Yankee Stadium in the Bronx to watch the Yankee Pirate game. Now we all know it was 5-4 extra inning lose for the Bucs, and really it was a game the Pirates had to win, coming off a great game the day before in Washington. A win on Friday could have change the rest of the series and who knows, maybe have given them the confidence to take 2 of 3 in NYC, and put them on very edge of contention. However after the sweep last weekend, I feel the Pirates are done for the year.
Here are some interesting things about my visit to the house that Ruth built.
- 1st I took the 4 train up from mid-town, that the true way to go.
- If you get a chance to eat at the Stadium Club, take it.
- The concourse and aisles are really tight, it looks good on TV, but inside of the stadium makes old Three Rivers Seem very roomy.
- The fans are very passionate, it was a sell-out and in every key situation the fans stood.
- They hand number there give-a-ways, I got a Derek Jeter figure which was 14,999 of 20,000. I wish the Pirates would do the same with their bobble-heads.

If you get the chance I would highly recommend going, after all it's probably the most famous stadium in American sports.
