Are NFL Officials involved in Gambling too?

Could the NBA’s situation / crisis with a referee involved with gambling allegations, be occurring the in NFL. I can offer no direct evidence that such activities are occurring; I can say I would not be surprised if it was, based on this:

NFL – more money is bet on football than any other sport in the US.
NFL Officials are part time employees. Of the four major sports they are the only guys working part time.
NFL Officials make far less than officials in other sports. NFL – $25,000-75,000, NBA - $90,000 to $225,000, MLB - $100,000 to $280,000, NHL $115,000-$220,000.
You can call holding, interference, or a penalty on just about every play in NFL.

NFL officials have the most time on their hands and are significantly underpaid when compared to the NBA or other sports. It’s would be crazy to think an official making 25, 30k a year wouldn’t be a target of a multi-million dollar betting ring. So this year when your team is driving down the field to get back in the game, you might think twice about that holding flag.
