WPIAL High School Basketball Update

In local high school basketball recently, the Ford City Lady Sabers lost to GCC, for the second time this year. The Sabers are now 18-2 with 4 games remaining before the playoffs. I mentioned last year, and recently in my podcast the Lady Sabers should have consider playing up a level to "AAA" to avoid GCC. We'll see in the playoffs how far they can advance.

On the boys side of things, the most important game of the year, will take place Friday night in Rural Valley, between Freeport and West Shamokin. In section 1 AA Freeport is 6-3 the Wolves 5-5, number 3 & 5 with the top 4 teams making the playoffs.

Also Leechburg 4-2 in section play are #2 in their Section, and should make the playoffs.
