Will Notre Dame Move Forward Under Kelly

I know a lot of eyes will be on Notre Dame and their new head coach Brian Kelly. Everyone knows Kelly is going with the spread offense, but forget about offense the Irish need defense. This year under new defense coordinator Bob Diaco, they’re moving to a 3-4 defense. Their defensive recruiting class was not highly rated, so unless someone emerges out of no where, they’ll probably struggle. While the buzz word on campus is “new”, I have the feeling their same “old” defense will again be their downfall. By the time they play Pitt in early October, I think we’ll know if Kelly is man or not.

Well last week didn't go so well. Pitt will be starting a new QB & Penn State will host Notre Dame. The game of the week is going to be LSU vs. Va. Tech.

NCAA College Football Picks Week 1

College football season is back, and that means the weekly college football picks on RSW. Each week Mike & Brian pick the top games of the week, and the Pitt & Penn State games. Last year Dr. Steel played along each week, and you can too. Early in each week the games will be posted on the RSW Blog, you can simply post your selections by adding a comment. Hi I'm Charlie Wies... Terrelle Pryor ... Come Play WR at Notre Dame

"Hi, I'm Charlie Weis head Football Coach from the University of Notre Dame, and I'm here to recruit you as a Wide Reciever."

That was supposedly the pick-up line used a few weeks ago when the Notre Dame head coach visited Jeannette High School to speak with one of if not the most recruitied high school Quarterback in the country, Jeannette's Terrelle Pryor. Well maybe honestly doesn't work that well with football recruits these days, because Pryor supposedly cut the chat short and headed back to class. Charlie must really like Jimmy C. and Terrelle must really want to play quarterback. Well it looks like ND is now off the list. RSW is normally the first show supporting Notre Dame, and I kinda figured ND was going to be #1 on his list, so if this story is true, and from what I heard it's dead on, it's back to the recruiting trail for Charlie. Just a tip coach from now on stick with "recruit you as a football player" one who hopefully plays Defense...cause ND needs Defense. In other Pryor news it's looking like he really wants to play basketball and football, not football and if they allow basketball. Here is a nice tease, he might end up at a school that wears a certain kinda blue.
