Ford City Football vs Wilmington
Ford City vs. Wilmington could be quite a game. I've seen Wilmington ranked in the top 5 "AA" teams in the state. Keystone Recruiting also today named Wilmington RB, Chris Burns as the #7 recruit in the state. Ford City traditionally doesn't show all their cards during meaningless games, and with SSA & Kittanning next on the schedule, look for them to leave a few plays in locker room. However this should give us some type of indication on just how good the Sabers will be this year.
Conventional thinking might say Kittanning and Ford City's 2007 teams don't have the expectations they did last year. It is true both those teams lost a tremendous amount of production offensively and even defensely, but the same can be said about a lot of "AA" team in WPIAL. Last year there was almost a dozen WPIAL "AA" teams with a 8-1 or 9-0 record, don't expect that to be the case this year. On paper after Jeanette and Aliquippa, it's anyone's guess. So not to build hype, but Ford City and Kittanning might have an even better chance in the playoff this year compared to last.
We'll see how things play out in 2007 starting on Friday night.....

Terrelle Pryor Jeannette 2007 Football Game Schedule

The Terrelle Pryor Circus / Recruiting Tour is less than a month a way. Expect Jeannette games home and away to be packed this year, including one on ESPN. Terrelle Pryor indesiveness on a college for that matter a sport will only brighten the spotlight on his games. Pryor games will also attract interest from college football fans hoping he will attend there favorite school. The big end of the year battle against GCC has been moved to Hempfield Area on Thursday night for FSN Pittsburgh. Look for college basketball coaches, celebrities, and Steelers in the stands at Jeannette games this year. Since Jeanette is only in AA, most of the stadiums aren't huge, and parking will be at a premium. Look for Washington & the GCC game to be the closest contests, probably drawing the largest pre-playoff crowds.

Terrelle Pryor Recruiting YouTube Video
Terrelle Pryor - Sr. QB at Jeannette High School
Terrelle Pryor a Vince Young like QB from Jeannette is the nation's most recruited high school football player. He says he has narrowed his college choices down to 11 schools, but other say he is still very open, and as of right now is it looks like he wants to play hoops as well.

Hi I'm Charlie Wies... Terrelle Pryor ... Come Play WR at Notre Dame

"Hi, I'm Charlie Weis head Football Coach from the University of Notre Dame, and I'm here to recruit you as a Wide Reciever."
That was supposedly the pick-up line used a few weeks ago when the Notre Dame head coach visited Jeannette High School to speak with one of if not the most recruitied high school Quarterback in the country, Jeannette's Terrelle Pryor. Well maybe honestly doesn't work that well with football recruits these days, because Pryor supposedly cut the chat short and headed back to class. Charlie must really like Jimmy C. and Terrelle must really want to play quarterback. Well it looks like ND is now off the list. RSW is normally the first show supporting Notre Dame, and I kinda figured ND was going to be #1 on his list, so if this story is true, and from what I heard it's dead on, it's back to the recruiting trail for Charlie. Just a tip coach from now on stick with "recruit you as a football player" one who hopefully plays Defense...cause ND needs Defense. In other Pryor news it's looking like he really wants to play basketball and football, not football and if they allow basketball. Here is a nice tease, he might end up at a school that wears a certain kinda blue.
RSW: PowerOutage Update: We're Ok!
Rizzo Sports Weekly Finally Shutdown Kittanning, or was it Kittanning finally shutdown Rizzo Sports Weekly. In a RSW first on Tuesday night Les Kemp of AK Recruiting came on RSW to talk about the recent AK Recruiting camp, midway through the show the lights went out. It's my understanding our audio was still up, so we keep talking for another 5 mins or so. Hopefully we can save some of the footage from the show. It was a good show too, as Les talked about some of the details from his camp. Well next week Tuesday night 7:30 I'll have a new guest, and we'll try it again.
